TV Serie Review: Reasons to Watch FLEABAG Today!😝

Hello you!👋💜 I hope you're doing well. Today, I bring you a review of one of my favorite series of 2022 - Fleabag!💘 It's a British television series🎬 created by and starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge💁. The series premiered in 2016 and consists of two seasons, totaling 12 episodes. The episodes are short, so you'll breeze through the series in just a couple of hours!🕒 The plot follows the life of a London woman in her thirties who owns a cafe☕ with endless debts and continually grapples with people throughout the series. Naturally, we find ourselves navigating the complexities of her personal and professional life. But if we delve deeper, why should you really watch Fleabag?👀 Brilliant Writing📝 : One of the most outstanding aspects of the series is Phoebe Waller-Bridge's witty and sharp script💬 (she's an excellent actress, by the way). The series tackles themes like loneliness, loss, love, sex, and family with a humorous and often irreverent approach. Waller-Brid...

Book Review: SIDDHARTHA

Hello again! 👋 Today I'm sharing a review of a book📖 that completely fascinated me when I read it. I read this book in high school when I was 17, and you can't imagine the impact it had on me! Haha🤣 "Siddhartha" is a novel written by the German author Hermann Hesse and first published in 1922 (I previously reviewed another of Hesse's books; check it out here ). The work is a profound and poetic exploration of spiritual💫 search and self-realization, set in ancient India🇮🇳 and based on the life of Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of ☸️Buddhism. Although it draws inspiration from Buddha's life🧘, Hesse creates an original story that addresses universal themes of human existence. The story follows the life of Siddhartha, a young man🙋‍♂️ who grows up in a well-off family in India and, despite having everything society deems necessary for happiness, feels a deep spiritual emptiness. As he seeks answers to his questions⁉️ about suffering and the true nature of ...

Movie Review: Perfect Blue

Hello!👋 Here I am again, with another review, this time about the chosen movie, Perfect Blue! 💙 When I watched this film, it was a Sunday, and my boyfriend and I were on the couch🛋. I was expecting a movie in the style of Makoto Shinkai (director of Your Name, Weathering with You, etc.), which is to say, soft☁️ and emotionally resonant (because all the anime movies I've seen have been like that), and I find myself facing a completely different scenario😨. So, to understand the context of the movie at a deeper level, we should know that it's a 🇯🇵Japanese animation from the 1990s, a period in which 🍬pop culture and the media were undergoing significant changes🔄. The film was released in 1997 and directed by Satoshi Kon, who later became a renowned figure in the world of animation🎞🎥. Some of his other notable works include Paprika (2006) and Millennium Actress (2001). Okay, knowing that, what's the plot of this movie?🧐 Perfect Blue is a film that stands out for its...

Book Review: 3 NOVELS FROM GABRIEL GARCIA MARQUEZ

Hello there!👋👐 Here's a new book review of some books I've read! In this case, it's about a classic author you must read!👀 That's right, we're talking about Gabriel García Márquez (1927-2014), a 💛💙💓Colombian writer and journalist, renowned for his magical realism  ✨(I explained this in the previous review 🙂). His most acclaimed work, "One Hundred Years of Solitude," established him as one of the greatest Spanish-language writers, leaving a literary legacy that continues to impact readers worldwide. So, I've decided to compile 3 works by García Márquez that I read some time ago and still find them sensational!😎 "Chronicle of a Death Foretold"⏳😵 It is a masterful work, published in 1981. The plot unfolds in a small Latin American town, where a heinous crime sets off a chain of mysterious and fatal events. García Márquez weaves a captivating narrative around the murder of Santiago Nasar, a young man seemingly destined to die❌. The autho...

Movie Review: CITY OF GOD🍿

CITY OF GOD🙏 "Cidade de Deus" (City of God) is a unique 💚💛Brazilian film directed by Fernando Meirelles and Kátia Lund, based on Paulo Lins's novel📖 of the same name. It has received major accolades from the 👀Academy, including nominations for "Academy Award for Best Director," "Academy Award for Best Cinematography," "Academy Award for Best Film Editing," among others. To understand the movie, it's necessary to pay attention to the situational context: it unfolds in the dangerous favela🌆of City of God, located in Rio de Janeiro, over several decades. The story revolves around the lives of two young friends👦, "Buscapé," an aspiring photographer📷aiming to turn professional someday, and "Zé Pequeno," who gets involved in the world of crime and becomes a feared and powerful drug lord. Buscapé seeks a way to escape the criminality and decay surrounding him and finds solace through his camera, documenting the realit...

3 (differents) BOOKS I READ RECENTLY

Lately, I haven't had much time to read as I would like because I've been studying (so I've read a lot, but not for the love of it, haha), and I consider my reading to be quite varied! So, here are three recommendations on: magical realism , poetry , and existential novel/fiction . 🍫🌊"LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE" (Magical Realism) First of all, I'd like to explain the genre of this novel, 💫magical realism: it is a literary style that combines realistic elements with magical or fantastical elements. It originated in Latin America in the 20th century, and renowned authors include Gabriel García Márquez, Juan Rulfo, and, of course, Laura Esquivel. The Mexican novel "Like Water for Chocolate," written by Laura Esquivel and published in 1989, has everything I particularly enjoy: magical realism, romance, and cooking🍳! It is set during the Mexican Revolution at the beginning of the 20th century.  The story revolves around the life of Tita de la Garza, a ...

I traveled with my boyfriend to one of the 7 wonders of the world! ✈🌎

✨Discovering the Iguazu Falls: Unmissable Experiences and Helpful Tips💙 That's me as a happy tourist :) Hello! In today's blog, I will tell you about my experience traveling as a tourist to the Iguazú Falls. I will give you advice and tips so that if you ever travel, it will be the best experience possible! I have a lot to tell! 🚌Avoid taxis and take advantage of urban buses: Within the city, taxis are usually quite expensive. An economical and convenient alternative is to use the urban buses, which run every 15 minutes, leave from the terminal and go to the park. For only around 700 Argentine pesos, you can travel comfortably. Extra fact: They also take you to the Brazilian side of the falls, wait for you to do migrations and leave you at the park gate. IMPORTANT! The transport company only receives cash. 🥘Delight in a Misiones gastronomic experience  Misiones has a rich culinary tradition that combines influences from Guarani indigenous cuisine with flavors from Argentine ...
