✨Discovering the Iguazu Falls: Unmissable Experiences and Helpful Tips💙
That's me as a happy tourist :)
Hello! In today's blog, I will tell you about my experience traveling as a tourist to the Iguazú Falls. I will give you advice and tips so that if you ever travel, it will be the best experience possible! I have a lot to tell!
🚌Avoid taxis and take advantage of urban buses:
Within the city, taxis are usually quite expensive. An economical and convenient alternative is to use the urban buses, which run every 15 minutes, leave from the terminal and go to the park. For only around 700 Argentine pesos, you can travel comfortably. Extra fact: They also take you to the Brazilian side of the falls, wait for you to do migrations and leave you at the park gate.
IMPORTANT! The transport company only receives cash.
🥘Delight in a Misiones gastronomic experience
Misiones has a rich culinary tradition that combines influences from Guarani indigenous cuisine with flavors from Argentine gastronomy. Its typical dishes are Paraguayan soup (it's not a soup haha, it's like an savory cake made with cornmeal, cheese and onion), roasted pacú, empanadas, chipá, among others!
For a unique culinary experience in Puerto Iguazú, I recommend visiting "La Rueda" restaurant.
With a wide variety of prices and flavors, this place will take you on an unforgettable journey through the flavors of the region. Do not miss the opportunity to try local dishes!
I recommend making a reservation at the restaurant because there is a lot of demand.
🐦Combine a visit to the Brazilian side of the falls with the Parque das Aves:
If you plan to visit the Brazilian side of the Iguazú Falls, take the opportunity to explore the Bird Park as well. These two parks are not too big, which allows you to enjoy both on the same day. Immerse yourself in the exuberant beauty of tropical fauna and flora, marveling at the colorful birds and butterflies that inhabit the region. The Bird Park is an ecological treasure that houses birds rescued from illegal hunting and captivity. It has a very beautiful story of its creation that you can learn throughout the park! Admire the beauty and diversity of these birds as you walk along the park's trails.
My boyfriend's favorite bird I think was the owl, they are so cute and calm.
Look at this parrots!
🦋 Discover the beauty of the butterfly garden inside the Parque das Aves
When we went to the Bird Park, I came across its butterfly farm.
💙Explore the three circuits on the Argentine side of the falls:
The Argentine side of Iguazú Falls offers three different circuits: the upper circuit, the lower circuit, and the impressive Garganta del Diablo.
I recommend making the most of your day by exploring the two circuits first and leaving the Devil's Throat for last. The tour can be done on foot and by train. The best option is to do the circuits on foot, the park's flora is beautiful! And at every turn of the road you find dream landscapes.
This photo is from the Brazilian side of the waterfalls!
For Garganta del Diablo, the park recommends taking the train to the station and walking along the paths and bridges until you get there.
I recommend asking for train tickets as soon as you arrive at the park because there are always a lot of people using them :)
Here it's a map for you!
☔The weather is deceiving!
Misiones is located in the north of Argentina, it is a tropical area so summers are usually hot and rainy, while winters are milder. Of course, humidity is high throughout the year!
We traveled in May (autumn in Argentina) and the weather was mild. Wear comfortable and light clothing, hydrate a lot and take umbrellas/pilots everywhere haha!
Storytime 👀: The day we decided to go to the Falls it had been raining since 6am, around 10am it was less raining (it never stopped raining) so we decided to go. On top of that, we decided to pay for a boat trip under the falls. That was fun but it would be better enjoyed without rain.
We got very wet before getting on the boat, going in a small truck to the port. When we went out, we were soaked, we were cold and we couldn't dry ourselves, so we gave up visiting the park that day, so I recommend visiting the parks always on sunny days haha.😂
🌊 The best for the end!
The majestic Garganta del Diablo is undoubtedly something mesmerizing for your eyes, it is a sensation of immensity! You will be amazed by its grandeur and I guarantee that the view will take your breath away. The experience is completely sensory, you hear the water fall, you feel the sun and the dew on your skin. I think it's so powerful that it's something we should do at least once a year!
🙋For terminal...
In my opinion, visiting the Iguazú Falls is an unforgettable experience, and I think it was so beautiful because I went with the cutest boy on earth!💗 Haha!
